Thank you for the great article, Will. May the angels lead Pope Benedict into Paradise.

Have you considered doing a podcast series on some of Pope Benedict’s works (perhaps the Jesus of Nazareth books or some other writings)? I can see Catholics now having a renewed interest in the works of Pope Benedict and having someone to help walk them through it is always helpful.

I’ve been figuring out how exactly to do this. I was thinking about doing a walkthrough of his two encyclicals and maybe Lumen Fidei too.

Excellent article, Will! While not a Catholic, I appreciate the Church's teachings and disciplines throughout the millennia. I also appreciate how it is bringing younger people to faith in Jesus as the world becomes more and more tumultuous. Thank you for referring me to Pope Benedict XVI's writings on the life of Christ. I look forward to reading them. I'm sure they are voluminous! Many Blessings ~ Pamela

Thank you, Pamela! I cannot recommend Pope Benedict’s works enough. He writes in a very Augustinian way that Christians of all stripes can appreciate and enjoy!

The Jesus of Nazareth series is really good. It’s not incredibly academic and quite accessible. They are phenomenal.

His encyclical on love (Deus Caritas Est) is my favorite of his writings though!
